I will raise an account opening request for you, your request will be sent to one of my colleagues who is a specialist and will be your single point of contact going forward will call you within 2 to 4 weeks to fill an online application form and also help you with the documents required for account opening in the HK.
Sabita at 12:50, Apr 21:
The form filling process would take approximately 30-40 minutes of your time. Once you're done with the call, my colleague will e-mail the completed form to you for review.

If everything is fine, you would need to take a print of the form and visit a local HSBC branch to submit it along with the required original documents. You would also need to sign the application form in the presence of an HSBC branch staff.

After the signed & certified documents are received from the branch staff, it will be submitted to the account opening team in Hong Kong. If everything is fine & no further information or amendments are required including any approvals and additional documents, it would take approximately 2 to 3 business days from then for your account to get opened. If not, it could take longer.

The basic documents required would be your Passport which is valid for at least 6 months and a proof of address document that you hold in the Australia( Utility bill or bank statement issued within the last 3 months and needs to be on your name).
